Terms of Service

Effective 2026-09-10

These terms are an agreement between you and Geary Works ("we", "us"), 1380 Rio Rancho Blvd SE #470, Rio Rancho, New Mexico 87124, USA, covering the Dynopane editor extension and the dynopane.com website (together, "Dynopane"). Installing or using Dynopane means you accept them.

1. What Dynopane is

Dynopane is an extension for Visual Studio Code and compatible editors (Cursor, Windsurf, VSCodium) that connects to Amazon DynamoDB using AWS credentials already configured on your machine, or to a local DynamoDB endpoint you specify. It is an independent product. It is not made, endorsed or supported by Amazon Web Services, and your use of AWS remains subject to your own agreement with AWS.

2. Free and Pro

The Free tier may be used at no charge. Pro features are unlocked by a licence key sold as a one-time purchase. One licence is for one developer and may be activated on up to three machines that developer uses. A 14-day trial of Pro is offered at no charge and needs no licence key.

3. Purchases

Purchases are processed by Polar Software Inc. ("Polar"), our merchant of record. Polar's checkout terms, tax handling and payment processing apply to the transaction. Prices are shown in US dollars; taxes are added where required. Our refund policy is part of these terms.

4. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Dynopane. You may not resell, share or publish a licence key, reverse-engineer the licence check, or use Dynopane in a way that breaks your agreement with AWS.

5. Updates and support

Pro includes all future updates to the extension. Support is by email at support@dynopane.com. We aim to reply within two business days but do not promise response times.

6. Your data and your AWS account

Dynopane sends requests from your machine directly to AWS, or to the local endpoint you configure. We do not run a server that stores your DynamoDB data, and the extension collects no telemetry. See the privacy policy. You are responsible for the AWS credentials you use, the permissions attached to them, and any AWS charges your reads and writes incur.

7. Writes are yours to check

Pro can edit, insert and delete items. Each write asks you to confirm first, but the action itself is yours: we cannot undo it, and DynamoDB has no undo. Use a profile with the permissions you intend, and keep backups on tables that matter.

8. No warranty; limitation of liability

Dynopane is provided "as is". To the fullest extent allowed by law we disclaim all warranties, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost or altered data in your DynamoDB tables caused by actions you take through Dynopane.

9. Termination

You may stop using Dynopane at any time. We may revoke a licence that is shared, resold or obtained by fraud.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; the effective date above changes when we do. Material changes are announced in the extension's changelog.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, USA.
